MY BEAUTIFUL MESS

I've been checking my email just about every day to see if my Muji drawers are anywhere near Hawaii yet. When I first checked, it said that the estimated arrival date was Aug. 2, then somehow it changed to Aug. 4. And then it said that it arrived in Honolulu on July 29 & I'll be expecting it on Aug. 1, which is tomorrow!!! I'm so excited ;]

Today, I decided to clean out all my makeup stuff from my old drawers and separate all the lip, face, & eye products so it'll be easier for me to organize them into the new drawers when I have the time to.

This is pretty much all the beauty products I have. 

Now they're all separated!

Yesterday, a really good friend of mine who I haven't seen for more than 8 years came over to hangout. We did a lot of catching up and I asked her if I could give her a makeover ;] Whenever I have my girl friends over, we always end up playing with makeup! My friends don't mind since most of them aren't so into makeup as I am.

While growing up, I don't ever remember her liking anything girly like I did. She's more of the sporty one. Anyways, I've always  wondered what she looks like all dolled up. This is my friend Liz...

MUJI STORAGE

After seeing all the great storage ideas on B U B B L E G A R M, I totally fell in love with her Muji acrylic drawers! I've been wanting the Clear Cube, but I am not gonna spend almost $300 on it. So I've been looking around for a cheaper alternative and I've finally found it!

I checked out the Muji website and saw that they had different ones & OUT OF STOCK! I can totally understand why. I mean you can't go wrong for a 5 drawer case like that for $23.95! And from what I read in peoples review, it ALWAYS goes out of stock in less than a day. So I kept checking back on it to see if they were back in stock. I also emailed them 4 days ago asking them to notify me when it does.

While I was checking my emails yesterday morning, I got an email from Muji saying that they were back in stock! So I went ahead and ordered me 2 of the 5 drawer case before it sells out again. I would have ordered more, but they only allow you to buy 2 at the most. Shipping cost me $24.95, which doesn't surprise me. It's always expensive to ship anything to Hawaii. But it's still a lot cheaper than spending close to $300 on it ;] I can't wait til it gets here...BTW, they weren't kidding...I checked around 10:00 pm last night to check the dimensions & I noticed that they already have it out of stock!

WHAT CAMERA DO I USE?

I've been asked what camera I use to take my photos on this blog so let me introduce you to my love, the Canon PowerShot SD750. Yeah...it's not one of those really fancy professional camera like the one my bf carries around, but I'm quite happy with the quality that this camera gives me.

I’ve had my camera for about 3 years now. I bought it for $200 from Costco & now they’re selling newer models of it for like $150 o__O But honestly, I don’t think the newer models are as good as my camera. I really hate that they don't have buttons on the back of the newer cameras like mines anymore ;[ And I love how it's really easy to set the settings. And what won me over was the scratch-resistant 3in. LCD screen. It was definitely love <3. My bf actually bought me one of the newer ones in pink, but I had him return it because it's just not the same. He complains that I'm too picky.

Ok…It would work perfectly fine still if I haven’t forgotten to close the lid for my makeup brush cleanser ;[ I totally forgot to put my camera away while I was doing my makeup & the brush cleanser puddled underneath my camera. It still works, but sometimes it has a mind of its own. Sometimes it would shut off on its own with the lens still out, other times it doesn’t want to turn on, & other times it says my battery is low when I had just charged it! And sometimes it can't read my memory card...but hey, it still takes good pics lols.

Unfortunately, I have to find a replacement soon. I’m thinking about getting another Canon, but I’m still waiting for one that functions just as good. But for now, I’ll just stick to it until it totally dies out on me. I've been eying the ELPH100, but I don't like the buttons much and I can't seem to figure out the settings although most Canon cameras have awesome photo quality. We'll see...
